  first in april - i get a call from two elder's trying to set up a meeting i assume [ i told them not interested in speaking to them and hung up ] some may recall that thread.. then last month - two more show up at the house, and wifey ignores them at the door.

  [i am at work].

  tonight - 'brother t' calls on the phone and asks for me.

  Admitedly, an individual who did not have a very good education
  or who lacked good study habits or disipline, being in the organ-
  ization did teach these skills. Honestly, there were certain things
  that were advantageous such as public speaking, oratory and
  commentary and the courage to go door to door with an unpopular
  message.

  If these skills are applied correctly in life, they can enhance you in
  your career or in everyday life.

  An individual can get the same 'skills' at night school and skip having to carry all of the negative baggage. In fact, think of all of the free time they would have to apply those skills and move forward with their lives.

  Knowing that there's a wack-job who runs Iran, I wouldn't put it past him to "hasten" the "end"..... when I heard about it a few weeks ago, I made a mental note to remember the date...then I quickly forgot about it until I was writing a check today with the date. I'll be glad when it turns midnight in Iran tomorrow night..... (don't you know that Israel and the U.S. are probably secretly on highten alert with missles pointed towards Tehran even as we type).

  BF's cat has cancer and is dying

  i have spent the last several days w/ my bf whose cat has cancer.

  actually a malignant tumor on his lungs.

  she is to call him and he will come to her house and administer the meds to put Sam down.

  that's the way to go....at home where love surrounds you... what a nice Vet. I had to put down my "little friend" a few months ago....it's very hard, but it was harder to watch them stuggle for a breath.

  Have you ever had acupuncture? What else can I try for high blood pressure?

  i had a bit of a shock last month when, in a routine check-up, my doc told me i had high blood pressure.. i can't remember what the reading was the first time but the next few days it was averaging 150/100.

  not wanting to go on drugs for the rest of my life i decided to look at alternatives.

  there are some chinese clinics in the town where i live so i tried one of those.. they recommended a course of herbal medicine and acupuncture.

  Going through a tough time....

  for those who remember me and those who care, i am going through a tough time.

  have worked on the other side of the phone with the same collections position and I know the fair debt and credit laws, when you have a pymt arrangement and call in to make that arrangement, only to find the arrangement broken (Not by us, by the company).

  
  Do you have an attorney friend who you can use to write some letters or act as an agent in negotiating for you?
  

  It is disheartening, as well as a mess. All this has left us short on somethings, worrying, scrambling, stressing.

  Everything together can be overwhelming and in some respects be paralyzing - that in itself can create more problems. Take this with a grain of salt, but the following can be very effective in many ways:

  List out each problem, therefore isolating them from the overwhelming "group"....

  With each item, figure out your options and what you can do to take action to resolve each issue...

  Work each issue, but try resolving the easiest first...if not resolving it, moving it forward...that way it becomes "positive" and it will motivate you and "open" you up to do more....

  Think positive, knowing that all things can and will be resolved....expect doors to open...

  After having said all of the above, I know it's easier to write than to do and I also believe you already know what I just wrote. But sometimes you need to hear or see it again. Eliminate the overwhelmingness by breaking the tasks down. Like the old say: "How does one person ever eat and Elephant?" - one small piece at a time....eventually the big 'ol Elephant will be gone.

  I was 19 when an elder came on to me

  i was a nineteen year old kid when a jw elder in his late fifties came on to me.

  i was going through some awful stuff and dropped by his mobile home for spiritual counsel and a listening ear.

  he answered the door in skivvies and a t-shirt.

  Questions they ask when I crossed the Canada US border

  i crossed the border and drove into the us yesterday, and here are a few questions he asked me.. the first question he asked me was, what's your nationality.....thats sounds normal.

  then he asked, where are you going?

  wisconsin i said.

  He asked the agent how he knew and he said he could see and feel your fear.

  Interesting. There was an article in the newspaper on how the really good agents "sense" people rather than pay attention to their answers. The Israeli agents (airline) are masters at ferreting out peoples emotions.
